Student artists from North High School received regional visual art recognition through The 2010 Scholastic Art Awards. In all, North High visual artists garnered74 awards in the juried exhibition.
As we end one semester and begin another, we celebrate “good news” at North High School. In early November, we were cited in both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times as being among the top high schools (Top 50 and Top 100, respectively) in the Chicago-land area and the state. Recently, we were named a “Silver Medal School” by U.S. News and World Report, a national recognition awarded to large high schools whose achievement results indicate gains among an entire school’s student population.
