Downers Grove South High School is excited to announce details of the 2023 "Barbie" Homecoming.
Homecoming will take place the week of October 16 through the 21st.
The dance will be held indoors on Saturday, October 21, from 7-10 PM.
A fireworks show can be seen during halftime of the varsity game on Friday, October 20.
Homecoming Assembly & Parade:
- Assembly: Friday, October 20 at 2 PM - inside the large gym (reserved for students & staff only)
- Parade: Friday, October 20, following the assembly, starting at 3:15 PM - open to the public

Football Game:
- Friday, October 20
- Homecoming court will recognized after the end of the JV game, and before the start of the 7:30 PM Varsity game.
- All are welcome to attend, $5 for admission, free for senior citizens.
- A fireworks show will be held at halftime of the varsity game
Ticket Information:
Tickets for DGS students and the approved guests of DGS students will go on sale October 13th - 20th for $35 using 5 Star.
Tickets will also be available for $40 cash at the door for DGS students only. Additionally, DGS students may purchase their ticket with a credit card via 5 Star on Saturday morning or at the door.
** Please note, DGS-approved guests may not purchase their ticket at the door on Saturday. ***

- Click on the Sign In button. Your login information to purchase a ticket is your ID number and Last Name.
- All guests must attend the dance with their DGS student and show their school ID or driver’s license.
- Students will need their ID to “scan into” the event with the 5 Star.
Bringing a Guest to the Dance: Guest Forms Due October 10
If you want to bring a guest from another high school, you can pick up a guest form outside the Dean’s Office. The Deans must approve all guests from other schools to attend the dance.

General Rules:
- Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for general check-in and end at 8:00 p.m.
- The dance begins at 7:00 p.m.
- There is no entry after 8:00 p.m. Security will lock the doors at 8:00 p.m.
- Once students leave, there is no re-entry.
- No bags aside from those needed for medical reasons or very small clutches are permitted into the dance.
- DGS students are responsible for their approved DGS guests. DGS students should arrive & leave the dance with their approved DGS guests.
- All guests must attend the dance with their DGS student and show their school ID or driver’s license.
- Students will need their ID to “check into” the event with the 5 Star.
