South High Student Publication Earns Northern Illinois Scholastic Press Association Award

South High School in Downers Grove earned top honors from the Northern Illinois Scholastic Press Association (NISPA).

South High received a Golden Eagle award, NISPA’s highest honor, for their Blueprint website. The award is given to the top five websites, and each student-run website is scored in several different categories.

“I am so proud of them. They work really hard,” said South High English teacher and Journalism sponsor Mary Long. “They run a professional-looking website that people go to for news, and it's great for them to be recognized for their hard work.”

Several South High students were also individually recognized for their work, receiving either a Blue Ribbon Award or an Honorable Mention.
