DGS Students Place at SkillsUSA State Championships 2022

Seventy-seven students from South High School in Downers Grove competed in the SkillsUSA State Championships in Peoria, Ill. Students competed in four state competitions: 3-D Animation & Visualization, Architectural Drawing, Engineering Technology Design and Principles of Engineering. South High had a total of 6 Gold, 4 Silver, and 3 Bronze medal winners, plus 12 state placers.

“We’re incredibly proud of our students for their commitment and their success at the State SkillsUSA Competition,” said Mark Molinari, South High School Career & Technical Education Teacher and SkillsUSA advisor. “Each of the SkillsUSA advisors have spent hours with these students outside of class time preparing them for this unique opportunity to compete at the state level.”
