Each year, District 99 invites business professionals in our community to offer their views on our Career and Technical Education courses and programs. Interested in mentoring high school students throughout the school year?
We offer many programs for our students to engage with community members including Entrepreneur Mentorship, Internship Experience and Career Workforce Training. Learn more below and get involved:

Entrepreneur Mentorship: We are looking for business mentors to work directly with our high school student entrepreneurs. Once per week for one hour in the morning, mentors would meet virtually with a team of students and offer advice and guidance on the team's new business idea. To share your time and expertise, contact Drew Himes (North High) ahimes@csd99.org or Paul Krick (South High) pkrick@csd99.org

Internship Experience: We are looking for internship placement sites within the community. Our internship experience pairs a high school with a business they have shown interest in. The student offers four hours per week of work, unpaid, and can either be in person or remote. Students have the opportunity to learn about careers, soft skills and can also engage in the work experience as directed by the internship site. To become an internship site, contact Melissa Damewood (North High) mdamewood@csd99.org or Ryan Altenburg (South High) raltenburg@csd99.org

Career Workforce Training: We are looking for businesses that are interested in hiring students for part-time employment. Students will have the opportunity to learn workplace skills and will apply them directly at your workplace. To learn more and hire part-time workers, contact Larry Baca (North High) lbaca@csd99.org or Pat Fardy (South High) pfardy@csd99.org
