DGS Drama Presents James and the Giant Peach on May 4

South High Drama students will be presenting their Childrens Play, James and the Giant Peach, on Friday, May 4th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

“Our drama students are thrilled to perform this fun-loving, final show of the year,” English and communications teacher and play director Justin Matkovich said. “We’re especially honored to welcome students from Jefferson, O'Neill and Lakeview Middle Schools on stage.”

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens, and free for children when accompanied by an adult. District 99 high school students get in free with their DGS or DGN ID. 

Synopsis:  
Adapted from the Roald Dahl classic, we meet James, an orphaned boy who was raised by his cruel aunt and uncle. Determined to find his mother and father, James runs away and goes on an adventure filled with action, giant insects, and of course a giant peach! This show is good for all ages! Be prepared to dance, sing, and help James and his friends along the way!
