Dear District 99 Community:
District 99 will continue to follow the current Fully Remote Learning schedule through the end of the first semester due to current health conditions. Community transmission remains at concerning levels. Note: there will not be a special final exam schedule. Teachers will determine and communicate any culminating exams or activities to students.
We will present the second semester schedule to the Board of Education members at their meeting on Monday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m. We are investigating adjusting the hybrid schedule slightly and increasing the amount of in-person opportunities; many elements of the schedule were influenced by your responses to our recent surveys. This meeting will be streamed live at www.youtube.com//csd99media. You may submit your comments starting at 8 a.m. on that day at https://bit.ly/D99-BOE-Public-Comments.
We will email you details of the second semester schedule on December 15; please also refer to this District calendar for days of attendance. The first day of the second semester for students will be Tuesday, January 5.

This is not how any of us wanted to end this semester. We’ve learned from your feedback that for those who were able to attend school during the limited hybrid schedule, it was a positive experience. We’re hopeful that we can resume and hold many more in-person learning opportunities in the second semester.
