Attainable Futures 2023: Workforce Readiness Program

Attainable Futures 2023: Workforce Readiness Program

For more than 25 years, Chamber630’s Attainable Futures program has prepared District 99 students with career exploration opportunities to enhance the skills they need to enter the workforce.

The Attainable Futures Program will be available online and in person this year. Registered students will be given access to the Chamber630 Attainable Futures Virtual Classroom, which will feature a variety of short videos from local business professionals sharing various workforce readiness tips, their career journey, and what inspires them in their chosen field.

Workforce Readiness Video topics will include:

Career exploration and goal setting

Job applications and search methods

Interview strategy and resume building

Community citizenship and engagement

And much more!

There will also be two in-person events. The first in-person event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, at the College of Dupage. District 99 will coordinate transportation to and from the program. The virtual classroom will be available throughout the second semester. Videos will be added to the Google Classroom, and each video will range between 5-15 minutes. Students who complete 80% of the video series will receive a certificate of completion from Chamber630. This achievement will allow students to add to their resume, and they may even be entered to win prizes from the College & Career Center!

SPOTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE! If you're interested in joining, don't hesitate to contact Lauren Miholic.
