Continued Discussion about Plan for 2020-21

Sent to all D99 students and families on July 28, 2020 at 7 p.m.

The Board of Education held a special meeting last night to continue its discussion of the district's proposed plan to open the 2020-21 school year following a hybrid model.

Although a formal vote was not taken, the majority of the Board (4-3) indicated it is in favor of keeping students in a Remote Learning environment for the start of the school year.

The Board will meet in person on Monday, August 3 at South High, where it may vote on how District 99 will open the school year. The cafetorium can accommodate a maximum of 40 visitors at one time due to social distancing. The public may reach the Board via email at

If community members wish to make their comments as part of the public record, they may add their comment to this form, which opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 27 and closes at the end of the meeting.

Thank you,

District 99
