District 99 Students Earn Awards at FCCLA State Competition

Students from North and South High School in Downers Grove competed at the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America state competition, earning awards for apparel construction, interior design and cookie decorating skills.

North and South High had two students earn awards at the state level:

 

South High School:

Andjela Culafic - Interior Design - GOLD

Madeline Roark - Cookie Decorating - SILVER

North High School:

Jenna Soelberg - Apparel Construction - GOLD

Audrey Gorey - Apparel Construction - SILVER

 

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is the Career and Technical Student Organization for Family and Consumer Science students. FCCLA is a national student organization that helps young adults grow their leadership skills through participating in proficiency events, exploring careers, and attending educational sessions.
