Mandatory Weekly Screenings for In-Person Learning, Activities, Athletics

Hello District 99 Students, Staff and Families:

As another step to improve our safety during the pandemic, on Tuesday, February 16, District 99 will begin a weekly “saliva screening” program. Any student who is participating in in-person (hybrid) learning or activities/athletics on campus is required to participate

Saliva screening is another step we are taking to ensure safety. It will allow us to identify potential COVID-19 cases before people show symptoms, reduce transmission within our schools and community and provide more information about transmission within our schools, which will allow us to make more informed decisions about our schedule (i.e., whether we are fully remote vs. hybrid).

Next week, in-person students will receive their personalized screening kit at school. The kit includes instructions and materials to provide the weekly samples. Students will also receive information about their specific screening schedule via email. Every individual's identity will be protected at all times throughout the process.

Parents/guardians must sign a waiver to allow their students to receive the kit, and to be screened and attend school in person:

Click Here to Sign Waiver by February 7

NOTE: Please be sure to enter the correct student ID number!

Please click here to read an FAQ about the screenings, which will be updated as we receive additional questions.

Thank you for being respectful of this process and protecting our community,

District 99
