Board of Education Election Materials now available

Nominating petitions for the April 9, 2013 school board election in Community High School District 99 are now available to pick up at the district's administrative office.

Sean Patrick Durkin and Geoff Neustadt now serve as "alumni ambassadors" for the District 99 Education Foundation. Durkin is a 1988 graduate of South High School and Neustadt is a 1993 graduate of North High School.

First “Alumni Ambassadors” to Represent District 99 Education Foundation

Two Downers Grove community members are now representing the District 99 Education Foundation as the organization’s first “alumni ambassadors.”

12 District 99 Students Named 2012 National Merit Semifinalists

Twelve students at Community High School District 99 have been designated as semifinalists in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Workshops for Parents

District 99 will be offering a workshop opportunity for parents on Thursday, September 20 at the Woodridge Community Center.

North High Parking for 2012-13

Parking lots surrounding North HIgh have been under construction over the summer, and will be ready for service for the first day of school on August 27, 2012.

South High School’s Jazz Ensemble to Perform at Chicago Jazz Festival

The South High School Jazz Ensemble in Downers Grove has accepted an invitation to perform at the Chicago Jazz Festival, which will take place in downtown Chicago over the Labor Day weekend.

On the east side of the school, workers are currently laying permeable pavers as the surface for the new, enlarged parking lot.
