District 99 will present initial master facility designs for both North High and South High schools to the community on Wednesday, October 17 at North High School, at 7 p.m. The district will present alongside project architects from Wight & Company, and community members are invited to ask questions following the presentation.
“We have been working diligently and creatively with the architects and staff, student and community design teams to develop plans that meet the needs of each school and the expectations of our community,” District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele said. “We look forward to sharing the initial designs and responding to questions.”

Following the support of the plan by the community last March, the district formed separate design teams of staff, student, and community member volunteers. Over 300 committee members have met several times, shared priorities, and provided feedback about designs with the architects. The designs are available for viewing now on the Master Facility plan website at http://www.csd99.org/mfp. Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele also will present the designs during his October D99 Lunchtime LIVE event on Facebook Live.
