Have you ever considered serving the community as a School Board member? Do you want to learn more about what's entailed in not only running for office, but also what to expect once you're elected? Be sure to attend our Board Basics Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 7-8:30 p.m. at our Administrative Service Center, 6301 Springside in Downers Grove.
At the workshop, you will:
- Understand the role of the school board in school operations
- Learn about the forms and process to become a candidate on the ballot
- Hear ideas about how to plan and what to expect during your campaign
- Better understand the time commitment
