For more than 25 years, Chamber630’s Attainable Futures program has prepared District 99 students with career exploration opportunities to enhance the skills they need to enter the workforce.
For the first time ever, the Attainable Futures Program will be available online and available to all District 99 students who register in advance. Registered students will be given access to the Chamber630 Attainable Futures Google Classroom which will feature a variety of short videos from local business professionals sharing various workforce readiness tips, their career journey and what inspires them in their chosen field.
Workforce Readiness Video topics will include:
- Career exploration and goal setting
- Job applications and search methods
- Interview strategy and resume building
- Mindfulness and self awareness
- Community citizenship and engagement
- Financial literacy
- And much more!
District 99 students who register by Friday, March 12 will be added to the Chamber630 Attainable Futures Google Classroom by Monday, March 15. The classroom will be available throughout the second semester and new content will be added throughout March. Between 10-15 videos will be added to the Google Classroom and each video will range in length between 5-15 minutes each. Students who complete 80% of the video series will receive a certificate of completion from Chamber630. This achievement will give students the opportunity to add to their resume and students may even be entered to win prizes from the College & Career Center!
