Pursuing Hybrid Schedule

Pursuing Hybrid Schedule

Opt for Remote Learning Only by August 3

Sent to all D99 Families on July 21, 2020 at 4 p.m.

Dear District 99 Parents/Guardians,

Last night, we presented our proposed plan of opening the 2020-21 school year with a Hybrid Schedule to the Board of Education. The plan and frequently asked questions may be found at www.csd99.org/2020-21. The Board asked the administration to continue to pursue the hybrid model, if health conditions allow.

After you review our plan and the health and safety guidelines we will have in place, we ask that you consider what is best for your family. All families who wish to opt-out of In-Person Learning for the first nine weeks of the 2020-21 school year (August 17-October 16) must complete this form by Monday, August 3:

Request for Fully Remote Learning

Please submit a separate form for each student you would like to participate in 100% Remote Learning.

If you select this option:

  • You understand that we will work to provide a robust experience for your student, but it will not mirror the In-Person Learning experience.
  • You will not be able to return to In-Person Learning before October 16; you may select to participate in In-Person Learning after October 16.

If you do not select this option, you will be able to switch to Fully Remote Learning at any time.

Completing the form will allow us to finalize student schedules and to ensure our classes are appropriately balanced for social distancing.

Thank you,

Dr. Hank Thiele
District 99 Superintendent
