New Way to Give to D99 Education Foundation

Giving to the District 99 Education Foundation just got easier! The District 99 Education Foundation has partnered with KOHA, a free app that gives back just by shopping!

To participate, simply download the “KOHA Life” app on your mobile device. The app will prompt users to create an account and select “District 99 Education Foundation” as their organization to support. When KOHA users shop at a participating business (listed in the app) and snap a photo of their receipt, a portion of their purchase will go back to our district.

For the past 25 years, the District 99 Education Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 for enhancement programs at District 99 schools, which fall outside of traditional public funding. The funds raised from the KOHA app will be used towards grants, scholarships, and programs benefiting students at both North High School and South High School.

In 2018, KOHA was developed to increase revenue to local businesses first in Downers Grove, specifically for elementary school District 58. Since the launch of their program, KOHA has delivered over $100,000 in sales to local businesses and over $6000 in donations to date. Their network of beneficiaries is increasing and District 99 Education Foundation is now an official beneficiary on the platform.
