- 2016-17 Tentative Budget – District 99 Controller Mark Staehlin presented the tentative operating budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year. The proposed budget will be on display for a month; the Board will vote to adopt it at its next business meeting on September 19, 2016. In order to lessen the impact of uncertain revenues from the State of Illinois on its operations, District 99’s proposed revenues ($87.6 million) exceed expenses ($83.8 million) by approximately $3.8 million. District 99 proposes continuing to address as many large capital projects before other possible negative financial actions are imposed; Life Safety funding helps provide relief and stability.
