Daddy Daughter Dance Fundraiser on March 14

Daddy Daughter Dance Fundraiser on March 14
All families that pre-registered online for the Daddy Daughter Dance have been reimbursed.  If you would still like to donate to the South High philanthropies, SCARCE and the Rainforest Trust, we will follow up soon with a donation link. Thank you!

Fathers in the community and their daughters (ages 3-11) are invited to attend South High’s Daddy Daughter Dance on Saturday, March 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Large Gym (1436 Norfolk Street, Downers Grove, IL. 60516).

Fathers and daughters will enjoy dancing to music by a professional DJ. During the event, South High students from a variety of leadership groups will paint nails, play games and dance the night away. Additionally, students from the South High photography club will capture special moments on camera that will be shared with the community at a later date. To top it off, daughters will have a chance to meet their favorite Disney Princesses.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door (price per father, daughters are free), which includes temporary tattoos, photography, nails, and the professional DJ. Optional corsage to be added at time of online registration. As of March 8, online registration is closed. Tickets can still be purchased at the door for $35.

The annual Daddy Daughter Dance event is a fundraiser sponsored by South High’s Student Council & Freshman Class Board for the school’s chosen philanthropy. Voted upon by students and staff, the 2019-20 philanthropies are SCARCE and the Rainforest Trust.

“Our students love organizing this event each year and love interacting with the children of our community,” South High Activities Director Jennifer Martinez said. “We hope to have even more community members at the event to raise environmental awareness and donations for SCARCE and the Rainforest Trust.”
