DGN Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

North High celebrates two student-athletes, McKenna Cinotte and Jack Mielke, who signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, November 11. 

Triiple Jump at Ball State University

McKenna Cinotte: Ball State University, Track and Field

McKenna Cinotte has had an outstanding career as a 4-year varsity member of the girls track and field team. She was a 5-time state qualifier in the sprints and jumps over her freshman and sophomore year. Her sophomore year she was the sectional champion in the 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay, and the triple jump. At the state meet her sophomore year, she was able to bring home all-state honors with a 6th place finish in the triple jump. Her junior season was cut short by COVID, but that did not stop her from breaking the indoor school record in the triple jump with a jump of 38'4.5". Over the summer of 2020, McKenna was able to compete and accomplish an amazing triple jump of 40'1.5". This jump of 40'1.5" ranks her in the top 5 in the nation for the upcoming high school track and field season.

Jack Mielke: University of Southern Indiana, Basketball

North High senior forward committed to the University of Southern Indiana. With uncertainty about the upcoming season, Mielke decided it was time to secure his future. During his junior year, Mielke had an incredible season by averaging nearly 15 points per game. According to Coach James Thomas, Mielke has trained since the end of his junior season and has improved his game.
