DG Recycling Extravaganza, Belmont Train Station

Saturday, September 19, 9a.m. - 12 p.m.

Belmont Train Station - Parking Lot H. Enter via Chase Ave (if coming from Belmont, turn West on Curtiss) 

Collecting items that should not go in the landfill and cannot be recycled curbside:

• eWorks - Electronics & Textile Recycling: All electronics, cables, chargers free (for monitors/TV pay in advance at recycling.eworksesi.org), household textiles to be shredded - pls bundle and bring in a bag 
• Accurate Document Destruction-On-site document shredding & Republic Services cardboard recycling
• Sharing Connections - Dressers, tables, chairs, end tables, coffee tables, bedside tables, sofas, loveseats, sectional sofa (no sleepers), IN SEASON clothing in good condition 
• F.I.S.H donations - canned and boxed food, household paper goods
• Working Bikes - Bikes in good-repairable condition, bike parts, helmets, pumps, and accessories 
• SCARCE - Books, keys, holiday lights, cords and wires, Canon and HP inkjet cartridges (no toners), household/car keys, plastic bread tags, x-ray, MRI and lithographic film, crayons, musical instruments, 45 LPs, vinyl records, CDs in case, DVDs in case
• Project Cure - Medical equipment - wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, stethoscopes, monitors of all types, nebulizers, and more
• Lions Club - Hearing aids, eyeglasses, NO CASES
• DuPage County Sheriff Dept. - Rx medicine, epipens, lancets, syringes 

(IMPORTANT: must place pills in Ziploc baggies & sharp items in hard plastic containers)

Voter Information for the November 3rd Election

Voting is essential. Exercise your voting muscles and make sure your voice is heard in November! The League of Women Voters of Downers Grove, Woodridge, Lisle is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government.  Our Voter Services page provides everything you need to know about registering and voting in DuPage County. To find out what's on your November ballot, visit Vote411.org after October 1st for nonpartisan candidate information, polling place locations, etc.

• The Burlington West Grizzlies is a combined High School Hockey Club for students attending Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South, Hinsdale Central, Lisle, Lyons Township and Willowbrook High School. The team competes in the Metro Girls Hockey League against schools all around the Chicagoland area. Grizzlies is made up of athletes who also play AAA, AA and house hockey, so all levels are welcome, and local Sunday night games make combined rosters easy to manage! If you have any questions or would like further information, please email them at info@grizzlieshockey.com.
