ALEKS Summer Assistance 2021

ALEKS Program Assistance Available Over Summer

Sent to select students and parents on May 20, 2021

Dear Students and Parents,

We are pleased to inform you that your student was enrolled in a math course this year that used ALEKS. Students completed a pre-assessment this past fall and the adaptive nature of this online program identified math topics from their current course that they did not yet know.  While students may have learned some of these over the course of this year, additional practice or greater depth of exposure will only be beneficial for moving forward in our curriculum.

Your student's account will remain open throughout the summer.  While the 'teacher-specific assignments' component of the program will not contain any new activities, the 'individualized learning pie' component of the program will still be accessible to every student.  We believe that the more students can engage in ALEKS over the summer the stronger their skill set will be in preparation for math class next year.

We realize that your student may have questions as he/she works through the program. Therefore, a District 99 math teacher will be available once a week to answer specific student-initiated questions via Zoom at:

Meeting ID: 844 0916 7863
Passcode: 214560

The dates for this assistance are listed below; each session is currently scheduled to run from 1:00-2:00 pm.

  • Tuesday, May 25th
  • Wednesday, June 2nd
  • Tuesday, June 8th
  • Wednesday, June 16th
  • Tuesday, June 22nd
  • Wednesday, June 30th
  • Tuesday, July 6th
  • Wednesday, July 14th
  • Tuesday, June 20th
  • Thursday, July 28th
  • Tuesday, August 3rd

Please refer to this webpage for any changes in dates or times. Note that this support is designed for students that are not taking summer school; students enrolled in a formal summer math course should complete assignments as outlined by their teacher and seek assistance directly from that individual.

In addition, Paper, a 24/7 online tutoring program, will be available all summer to all students.  Therefore, if your student has a math question as he/she works through the ALEKS software and it is outside of the hours of support listed above, your student is encouraged to use Paper.

If you have any questions regarding ALEKS, please do not hesitate to contact us.
