The Learner Standards for Technological Understanding provide a set of expectations for student technology knowledge.  As such, these expectations can directly guide the application of technology by teachers and can provide an effective framework for the integration of classroom technology.

The Standards are composed of three domains, each with its own set of components.  Domain 1 examines the functional literacy of students, Domain 2 examines the problem-solving process, and Domain 3 examines the ethical use of technologies in our society.

The Learner Standards provide an outstanding perspective of what students should know and be able to do regarding technology.  Because of the importance of the Learner Standards, this Web site has associated online resources to each domain to assist in the successful implementation of the components of each domain by teachers.
