Success for Girls Swim and Dive Team at North High

The 2010 girls swim and dive team at North High School placed fourth at the IHSA state meet on Saturday, November 20 at Evanston Township High School.
The team also received three golds at the state meet:
1. In the 200 yard medley relay, Gabby Sims, Allison Soper, Haley Sims and Maddy Sims broke the state record set in 2008 with time of 1:44.30.
2. Haley Sims won the 200 yard individual medley.
3. Haley Sims won the 100 yard butterfly.
In addition, Gabby Sims placed second in the 100 yard freestyle, only 4 hundredths of a second out of first. Gabby also placed second in the 100 yard backstroke. Also, Haley Sims, Jen Gockman, Maddy Sims and Gabby Sims placed third in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
District 99 congratulates Coach Judy Busse and the 2010 girls swim and dive team on its success.
