Places to Know

Locker problems?Go to the Dean’s Office (Student Personnel) – A104

Lost & Found:  A103 - Located in Attendance Office

Call Slips:  (Clearing Attendance) – Turn in with daily attendance or in Dean’s Office – A104

Library:  A100 - A great place to research!

Nurse’s Office:  A106 -  If sick, you need to use Health Services

Counselors Office:  A110 – More information found in brochure.

Dean’s Office:  A104 – More information found in brochure.

College/Career Center:  A107 - Where Juniors and Seniors may access applications, college information, college visits, etc.

Book Store:  B112J – Located in the cafeteria.  Opens at 7:40am.  Can purchase supplies, textbooks, replacement ID’s, swim caps, etc.

Peer Mediation:  D170 - Peer to peer conflicts solved by a trained peer.  (Fill out a request form).

Student Activities:  C149 Find out about extra-curricular clubs and teams.  Get tickets for plays and dances.

Athletics:  C151 – Register for sports, tickets to special games, sell athletic sportswear.

Department Resource Centers:  You need a pass from teachers for Math and English Depts.  If you want to go to a resource instead of study hall, go directly to the resource and sign in.

Things to Know

Call Slips:  If you receive one, have your teacher sign the sheet for verification.

If you have to leave early:  1.) Have a parent call in.  2.)  Go to attendance office  3.)  Obtain a pass to leave.

How to use Library in lieu of resource:  (A100)  1.)  Go directly to the library.  2.)  Swipe ID and they’ll instruct you when you arrive.  3.)  Remember to get there EARLY, as space often fills up.

Using Health Services:  1.)  Must go to class first and get a pass from your teacher.   2.)  Go to Nurse’s Office (A106) and SIGN IN!   note:  Medication only dispersed with parent and doctor signed permission.

Dances:  Homecoming and Turnabout Dances.  Prom is for Seniors only.

Counselor’s Office:  For schedule changes, to drop a class, personal or academic problems, problem with a class/people, crisis interventions…

Dean’s Office:  Attendance issues, behavioral issues, harassment concerns, to report stolen property, etc.

Computers Centers:   To log on, see faculty assistant for procedure.  College/Career-A109, Foreign Language-A201, Library-A100, Math-D374, Science-C356, Social Studies-A203, Writing Center-B325

Work Permits:  See guidance department and staff (A110) for applications and procedures.

Announcements:  Announced during 2nd hour.  If you can’t hear them, you can obtain a written copy from your teacher or the main office.

Parking:  $100.00 per year.  Permits are issued on a priority basis:  1) Work program  2)  Early-bird classes  3)  Seniors who car pool  4)  Special situations (see Dean).  Springside Avenue permits are available through the village of Downers Grove (approx. $270)
