CLASS
Activity busses will begin on Tuesday, September 7th. Activity busses will run Monday through Thursday at 4:40 pm. Only students who are in a supervised activity and/or receiving teacher assistance after school are eligible to ride the busses. (Schwartz, 9/2-9/3)
Dress Code: Please review the dress code in your student handbook and follow it daily. Students in violation will not be allowed back to class until appropriate attire is found. (Heap, 8/27-9/10)
Hall sweeps are coming! Please have a pass during non-passing periods. (Heap, 8/27-9/10)
The Art department needs aides every period of the day. If you like art, would like to help others and would love to spend time in a creative space, see one of the art teachers as soon possible. The spots fill up quickly. No experience necessary… we train! (Hansen, 8/30-9/3)
Attention Juniors: Junior class board will have its first meeting on Friday, September 3rd in room C368, Mrs. Johnson's room, at 7:30 AM. We will be discussing the homecoming parade and other junior class activities. All juniors are welcome. Bring a friend. (Johnson, 8/30-9/2)
Do you like helping others? Student aides are needed during periods 1, 2, 3, 5B, 6, 7 and 8 to help students with special needs. Please see Mrs. Baum in C162 if you interested. (Baum, 9/1-9/3)
SPECIAL EVENTS
Convertibles are needed for the September 24th Homecoming Parade. Show off your car and school spirit by helping out! See Mrs. Gamble in A101 for information. (Gamble, 9/1-9/10)
Those auditioning for the homecoming show next week are reminded to check the schedule posted in D170 and in the music wing for your time assignment. Students are also reminded that auditions are closed; only performers may be in the auditorium next Tuesday and Wednesday. (Rowley, 9/2-9/3)
ACTIVITIES / CLUBS
Come join Mustangs Aware, TODAY after school in room B125 for our meeting to make Mustangs AWARE a fun and successful club this year! If you are interested in becoming a committee member please join us! Any questions contact Mrs. Ploski in room B125A. Show you can become AWARE! (Ploski, 9/2)
Attention Spanish Club: Please join us for our first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 8th in D279 after school. Just a reminder, anyone can join Spanish club. Are you interested in finding out more about different cultures? Or maybe sharing details about your culture? The "Cultures in Alliance" is the club for you. Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to make the world a better place? If the answer is YES, then come to the Go Green Club informational meeting this Friday morning at 7:30 am in room C376. We are looking for new members to join the Go Green Club and all students are welcome to attend. If you can't make the meeting and you would like more information contact Mr. Ahrens or Mr. McGinnis. Hey, all of you volunteers out there…Any student who participates in Community service projects or activities outside of the school day can get recognized for their service through Service Club. Check the bulletin board outside of the student activities office, C149, for a listing of opportunities. Log sheets are available in C149 and C166 and can be dropped off in either room. Please submit your summer volunteer hours so they can be counted and you are recognized for your contributions. (Bruns, 8/30-9/3)
ATHLETICS
Wrestlers: Any Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who is not in a fall sport needs to see Coach LeBlanc in A309 before school. (LeBlanc, 9/2-9/4)
Family athletic passes will be available for pickup on Wednesday, September 1st through Wednesday, September 8th at the Main Entrance near the library between 8:15 am – 4:00 pm. (Kadlec, 8/27-9/1)
Attention all girl's interested in trying out or learning more about girl's basketball: There will be a short meeting after school to help make you aware about the program, how to get involved within the program and upcoming events. All girls interested should attend the meeting that will be held in C146 on Thursday, September 2nd at 3:30 pm. If you cannot attend, see Coach O'Brien in room E009 before or after school.
