As we end one semester and begin another, we celebrate “good news” at North High School. In early November, we were cited in both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times as being among the top high schools (Top 50 and Top 100, respectively) in the Chicago-land area and the state. Recently, we were named a “Silver Medal School” by U.S. News and World Report, a national recognition awarded to large high schools whose achievement results indicate gains among an entire school’s student population.
