2017-18 Calendar – Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele asked the Board to consider minor modifications to the 2017-18 calendar:

·        Staff is currently evaluating the timing of parent/teacher conferences; therefore, the current date of October 4, 2017, which is currently marked as a non-attendance day for students, may be adjusted.

The Board members were open to the recommended adjustments, and will vote to finalize the calendar at a future meeting. The first day of school for students will remain as August 18, 2017.

Board Approvals – The Board voted unanimously to approve the 2017-18 curriculum proposals, to partner with community engagement experts George K. Baum and Minding Your Business, and the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. An outside auditor from Miller, Cooper & Co. presented the firm’s positive report of the district’s finances.
