On Monday, April 7 the District 99 Board of Education directed its attorneys to appeal the DuPage County Circuit Court decision regarding the eminent domain lawsuit. The Community High School District 99 Board of Education is continuing to defend itself from the lawsuit filed by the Village of Woodridge in May 2005 to acquire by eminent domain the 45 acres of District 99-owned land in Woodridge. Unfortunately, the court ruled in May 2007 that the land can be taken by eminent domain.
