Attention families of Class of 2020 seniors! Below is some important information related specifically to the senior section of the yearbook.
Senior Portraits:
Senior picture appointments take place at DGS during the summer. The senior portrait make-up day for guaranteed inclusion in the yearbook is October 15, photos take place in the DGS Little Theatre. You can also call Prestige Portraits to schedule a sitting. Appointments fill up quickly, so call 630-910-6800 (option 5 for customer service) to schedule your student’s appointment today! Yearbook-only sittings are free of charge. See the studio’s website by visiting www.prestigeportraits.com for information about other photo sessions and photo package purchase options.
Senior Baby Picture Submission:
This year all baby photos will need to be submitted digitally. Hard copies will not be accepted. Baby photos can be emailed to south-yearbook@csd99.org. Photo files should be saved as jpegs and named with the student’s full last name , full first name (ex: Robinson, Kenneth) The email subject line should read “Senior baby picture of [student’s name].” This year, there will be no cost for baby photos. The last day to submit Senior baby photos will be October 30. Senior baby picture space is limited, so photos will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. For inspiration, here are some baby photo examples.
Senior Recognition Ad Information:
This is a special time in your senior student’s life, and you can make it even more special by commemorating it with a senior recognition ad to be published in the 2019-2020 DGS yearbook! Ads are available in a variety of sizes and prices. This year, all senior ads will be created by YOU and purchased at jostens.com/yearbookads. Do you only have hard copies of photos? Need Access to a Scanner?
You will need to scan your hard copy photos to make them digital. If you do not have access to a scanner you have several options:
● Your student can scan photos with the help of a librarian in the DGS Library
● There are a variety of scanning applications available for smartphones such as Genius Scan and CamsSanner
● Your local drug or general merchandise stores with photo departments also have scanning capabilities
As always, don’t forget to pre order a yearbook!
Pre-Ordering a Yearbook for your Student:
Help your student preserve their high school memories by pre-ordering a yearbook. It’s recommended that you order a yearbook during registration or in the fall, this makes picking up the book easier at the year’s end and guarantees that you will receive a book. If you would like to order at a later date, you can do so through the Student Activities Office or through jostens.com
