College Exploration Night: March 6

College Exploration Night: March 6

The College and Career Center is hosting its annual College Exploration Night on Wednesday, March 6 from 6:45-8:45 p.m. in the auditorium and B hallway. This event is open to all students and parents who are interested. The evening will begin with a general information session followed by three breakout sessions - attendees can choose any three college presentations to attend.

College Exploration Night is not a college fair, but an opportunity to learn about campus life, academics, and admissions at different types of colleges: highly selective; traditional, private, liberal arts; mid-sized private; large, public university; and community college. The representatives present will be there to speak about their type of college, although they might add some specific college information as well.

Our presenters include representatives from:

  • University of Chicago (highly selective) - Additionally, University of Chicago will be doing a case study for students and families to review real applications to see exactly how they decide who gets accepted!
  • Augustana College (traditional, private, liberal arts)
  • University of Tampa (mid-sized private)
  • Purdue University (large, public university)
  • College of DuPage (community college)
