“We are proud to witness Taylor sign her letter of intent for the next level of her soccer career,” South High Athletic Director Randy Konstans said. “Taylor’s new team is fortunate to have her as such a dedicated and talented student-athlete.”

Petring has accepted a scholarship to the Division II women’s soccer program at Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. Petring is a three-year player at the varsity level for South High School. She plays as an outside back/wide midfielder in which her positional sense, tracking of the opposition and crossing ability allows her to stand out as a threat on both ends of the field. During the 2018 season, Petring was second in the team in assists with four and contributed to eight shutouts on the season.
