Two students from the Downers Grove South High School Bass Fishing Team have qualified for the IHSA State Bass Fishing Tournament, which takes place May 18-20 at Carlyle Lake in Carlyle, IL.
Sophomore Harry Kamitani and freshman Stephen Nicholson qualified for state after their team placed in the top 3 (2nd place) out of 24 teams at the sectional tournament on Friday, May 5.
The members of the spring Bass Fishing Club competition also include DGS students Jacob Bandyk, Xen Briggs, Anthony Carcerano, Meghan Lieb, Jacob Maples, Andrew Musielak, James Rodden, Anthony Spano, Dylan Edward Troche, and Eeshie (Ruth) Wang.
