Mustang Way History

Since 2011, District 99 has been a part of the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Network in order to address the social and emotional learning standards of our students.

PBIS is a school-wide, data driven approach aimed at establishing a positive culture where all staff and students have the opportunity for positive interactions and acknowledgements. The basic principles of PBIS include explicitly defining and teaching behavioral expectations, as well as modeling and acknowledging appropriate behavior. At DGS our PBIS program is called Mustang Way. The three behavior expectations at DGS are Respectful, Responsible and Engaged.
