The Special Services Department at Downers Grove North High School is hosting an “Art Show and Sale” on Thursday, April 27. The show will take place as an open house from 4-8 p.m. in the school’s Main Street Lobby, 4436 Main Street in Downers Grove.

A variety of artwork created by the students with special needs will be on display and available for purchase. Students have created canvas paintings, coasters, magnets, collages, greeting cards, pallet signs, and decorative home items. Prices will range from $1 to $20.

All proceeds will benefit the multi-needs program, which is raising funds to host an employer appreciation breakfast for local businesses and other departments in the school who provide job training experiences to the students.

“Our students worked hard and are very proud of their works of art,” says Kim Jaros, a teacher in the Special Services department. “They are excited to share what they’ve created, and also proud that they are contributing to the fundraiser for our employer appreciation breakfast.”
